When you are putting together your print order I recommend you consider the Crop Ratio. The photos I shoot come out of the camera in a 2:3 crop ratio. A majority of the time I keep my horizontal shots at 2:3 and crop my verticals to 5:7. If you order a photo the is for example an 8x10 you can loose 2 inches from the long side. Sometimes this can work and other times you may loose valuable imagery. Use the photo and chart below to determine what size is right visually for your photos. You can always get creative and go beyond the standard size frames; mount your photo on wood, canvas or metal, put in a open glass frame or cut a matt. | |
